Packing Station

You'll need to have a dedicated packing station. The size of it will depend on the sizes of what you are shipping. You'll need to have space for a table or counter to pack on. You'll also need shelves or cabinets for the boxes or envelopes you'll be using to ship your orders, the tape to seal the boxes, and the packing material that protects the items.

Make sure your packing area is big enough to have room to put the items for all the orders you are packing, and space for the boxes after they are packed.

A basic packing station will have the following basic items in easy reach:

Boxes – Sizes and shapes depends on what you are selling.

Bubble mailers or envelopes – If what you are selling is small enough to fit in them.

Packing tape - for sealing boxes.

Packing material – bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or kraft paper to protect the items being packed.

Shipping Scale – to weigh the packed box for shipping weight depending on the variety of what you sell.

Labels – if your packages are fragile or require special care.

Pens or markers

Boxes and packing material can be purchased in bulk from various companies that specialize in packing and shipping material.
